Simon spent many years working in a local Chartered Accounting firm before running his own businesses. Simon created and managed two fashion labels for three years before starting a textile manufacturing plant in China.
After exiting the fashion business and looking for a new challenge, Simon felt there was a gap in the market for affordable accountants, so he created The Urban Beadsman, an accounting firm that doesn’t have any egg timers and is as transparent as they come.
Simon and Matthew had worked together on various projects and saw an opportunity to combine their two accounting practices to become Navigator Accounting.
Simon has a wide understanding of accounting compliance requirements in New Zealand and has first-hand experience running a small business. He understands what a clients accounting needs and wants are, and always delivers to the highest standard.
Simon is also our resident Xero and tech expert. He has implemented many cloud-based POS systems into clients’ shops, converted many clients to the benefits of using Xero Software, which is an effective cloud-based business tool.
