Simon Griggs

Leading the charge at Navigator is Simon Griggs, our Managing Partner. ‍


After many years working in a Chartered Accounting firm, Simon successfully managed two international fashion labels (he’s still got the suede to prove it) before returning to what he knows best – accounting.

Thing is, Simon was sick of seeing all the same old accounting firms out there doing the same old thing – and he saw that clients were too. So he thought, stuff it, and started out on his own. Simon created Navigator to fill a much-needed gap in the market for an accounting service provider that was agile, people-focused, and proactively worked with clients to realise their goals.

A down-to-earth, Hawke’s Bay-born kiwi, Simon prides himself on helping his clients achieve their financial goals and offering them practical advice using plain English. ‍


Now based in Auckland, he brings boldness, creativity and vision to everything we do here at Navigator.

Heidi Dunlop

Running the show at Navigator is Heidi, our Partner.

Heidi grew up on a farm in the Manawatu, so she was brought up on hard work. Completing her degree at Massey University she started her career in banking. Heidi loves to travel, so has developed her knowledge working for different companies in the finance sector giving her a really great base understanding of business big and small.

Always up for an adventure, Heidi has helped push Navigator to innovate and explore new ways to find better solutions for our clients.

She's all about getting to know the people behind the numbers - and she's helped make it a fundamental part of how we do things around here too.

Based in sunny Napier and running our Hawke’s Bay team, Heidi is the one who keeps the Navigator wheels turning, ensuring we're always working effectively, enjoying ourselves, and keeping our clients’ best interests in mind.

Through her whanaunga here in the Hawke’s Bay, Heidi is helping us create closer connections to te ao Māori and improve our reo skills every day.

She also loves the outdoors... almost as much as gin.
